State of React in 2023

React.js is more popular than ever before and it's arguable the most important JavaScript framework right now.

React Hooks are the default now (actually already since 2020, you could argue) and with React 18, many new features were added that try to help you build even more performant web apps.

But React is actually changing right now! Or, to be precise, it's ecosystem is - and with it the way you build modern web apps.

Meta-frameworks like NextJS and Remix are becoming extremely important as more code is shifted from the frontend back to the backend. Building fullstack applications is becoming popular again - but this time, it's actually fun!
